What are Paltalk Virtual Gifts?

Virtual Gifts are a fantastic way to break the ice and get noticed in Paltalk chat rooms. Sending and receiving Virtual Gifts help build your social reputation and trust within the Paltalk community by earning Achievement Levels. You can send even a gift to yourself to jump-start your reputation. Virtual Gifts can be purchased using Paltalk Credits.

How does Virtual Gifting work?

  • 1. Meet Friends

    Meet friends, new and old. Chat, share and have fun.

  • 2. Buy Credits

    Credit packs are available in the gift store.

  • 3. Send Gifts

    Redeem credits for gifts to break the ice or send a special message.

  • 4. Get Status

    Earn points towards Achievement Levels each time you send or receive a gift

How do I send Virtual Gifts?

Look for this Virtual Gift icon when you're in DM's and chat rooms. Also, on Paltalk for Desktop, you can right-click on any member's nicknames in chat rooms and your Pals list.

How long do Achievement Levels last?

Personal and chat room Achievement Levels remain as long as you have performed at least one virtual gift activity every 30 days

What are Virtual Gift Activities?

Personal

  • Send or receive a Virtual Gift
  • Purchase Paltalk Credits

Chat Room

  • Chat room receives a Virtual Gift

If 30 days pass without any Virtual Gift activity on your account (or room), starting on day 31, you will drop 1 Achievement Level per day until you fall to level 0.

If your Achievement Level drops to 0 without any Virtual Gift activity, it can no longer be reinstated to its original Level.

Note: If you have an eligible Premium Room subscription, your Achievement Level will not drop below the minimum granted AL while this subscription is active.

My Achievement Level is dropping; how can I stop this?

Once 30 days have passed without any Virtual Gift activity on your account. You will drop 1 Achievement Level per day until you drop to level 0. 

However, you can reinstate your Achievement Level back to its previous level by sending or receiving a Virtual Gift or purchasing credits before your Achievement Level falls to 0. If you own a chat room, it must receive a Virtual Gift to be reinstated to its previous level. 

If your Achievement Level drops to 0 without any Virtual Gift activity, it can no longer be reinstated to its original Level. 

Why should I send Virtual Gifts?

There are many reasons why our members send Virtual Gifts.

  • To catch someone's eye in a busy chat room.
  • Indicate to a member that you want to start a private conversation with them.
  • Reward/tip other users whose content you enjoy in chat rooms.
  • Boost a chat room's popularity by sending the room a Virtual Gift.
  • Get featured on Paltalk Leaderboards.
  • Earn XP (or Experience Points), which increases your Achievement Levels and unlocks bonuses.

What are Paltalk Credits?

Paltalk Credits are the official currency of Paltalk, which allows members to purchase and send Virtual Gifts. 

How do I purchase Stickers?

Purchasing Stickers works similar to Virtual Gifts. Just click on the sticker icon and the plus button in the upper right corner of your pop-up sticker window. The plus button will launch the sticker selector, where you can choose which pack you want to purchase.

What are Achievement Levels?

Achievement Levels indicate chat rooms or members' status within the Paltalk community; the higher the Achievement Level, the more they have done within the community.
Every time you send or receive Virtual Gifts, you earn Experience Points or XP. The more Virtual Gifts you send or receive, the more Experience Points you earn and the higher your Achievement Level rises.

This is how Virtual Gifts help you earn Experience Points:

  • When you receive a Virtual Gift worth 100 Credits, you will earn 100 Experience Points.
  • When you send a Virtual Gift worth 100 Credits, you will earn 50 Experience Points.
  • When you send a Virtual Gift to yourself, you will earn 100 Experience Points.

Achievement Level Rewards

For every 10th Achievement Level you reach, you will be awarded BONUS Paltalk Credits!
Extra bonus credits will not be awarded for achieving a level for a second (or more) time until 60 days have passed.
For example, if you achieve Level 11, you receive the 125 Credit bonus. If you then descend to Level 10, you will not be eligible to receive another bonus for achieving Level 11 until 60 days have passed from your initial Level 11 award.
Room owners are also awarded Paltalk Credits when the room reaches new Achievement Levels.

How long do Stickers last?

Stickers never expire unless noted and can be used to express yourself over and over again in chat rooms and DM’s.
