Customizing a pals name

You can add hundreds of names to your list of pals. At times you may wish to identify special people or co-workers so they stand out on your 'pal list'.

Step 1
select the main 'pal list window'

Step 2
scroll thru the list of your online and offline pals to find the nickname you wish to customize

note: if the user is offline be sure to click the arrow beside 'offline pals' to expand the list

Step 3
right click on the nickname to select it

Step 4
select the 'customize nickname' option from the menu that appears

a box will appear that contains your pals nickname

Step 5
click in the white box with the left mouse button to edit the nickname

edit the nickname to your satisfaction and press the 'set' button to make the change

if you change your mind or want to remove a previous customization of a nickname, press the 'reset' button

Step 6
when you are finished, press the 'close' button
