The 'nudge' feature
'Nudge' your pals to catch their attention with a shaking
window and an alert sound.
At times you may have multiple windows open and loose track of
conversations. Your pals may do the same.
If you or your pal have 'drifted away' during a conversation you can send
a 'nudge' to remind your pal that you are still there, and they can do the
same.
To send a
nudge press the 'shaky smiley' icon on the text format bar in any
IM window.
You will see a note in the
IM window
stating that you sent a 'nudge' to your pal.
Your pal will see your
IM window 'come
to the top' of other windows on their desktop. The window will
'shake' on their desktop, and depending on the 'nudge level' (see below)
they will hear a sound.
You can select various 'levels' to use when sending 'nudge' alerts.
You can also 'mute' or disable incoming 'nudge' alert sounds.
